It should go without saying that my days are packed. In addition to my full-time job (which pays the bills and is, as such, indispensable), I am a wife, a mother to two boys (both of whom have yet to gracefully discover that they are not immortal,) an author, a publisher, and a marketer. My biggest lesson in the past two weeks since actively marketing PERFECTION UNLEASHED is that Twitter is a fantastic channel for getting the word out AND the biggest productivity killer of writing time.
But, I’m not here to talk about Twitter. What should a busy person do when faced with multiple demands on limited time? Why, you find YET more things to do, of course. (Duh…)
I’ve decided to start a book-within-a-blog, chronicling my journey as an author. So far, I’ve gotten as far as the introduction and table of contents, but I plan to add to my book weekly. “An Author’s Journey” is an online journal of resources I’ll likely need each time I release a novel; I hope it will be a helpful resource to other authors, too.
